Volatus is a well-funded startup founded by top medical experts in the field of reproductive health along with tech entrepreneurs. We are building a next-generation software platform from the ground up for fertility clinics that will greatly improve outcomes for patients and medical staff.
We are seeking a senior fullstack rockstar to help us take our product from prototype to product launch. You are an advanced fullstack engineer with expertise in crafting delightful, engaging, and performant web applications. You’re just as comfortable working on the front-end creating React components as you are jumping into the backend to create a database view.
Candidates with a portfolio of existing projects are highly preferred. If you can send us a list of different projects you’ve worked on (ideally with links to the project or codebase) that would be ideal.
What we’re looking for:
Required
- NextJS/NodeJS: Strong Experience working on React production codebases a must
- TypeScript
- Strong Tailwind & CSS proficiency, responsive designs that work across any resolution
- PostgreSQL Database (modeling, security/authentication/authorization, performance, transactions, triggers, etc)
- Experience integrating with external APIs
- Testing: proficient in writing tests (unit, integration, e2e)
- Solid CS fundamentals
Strongly Preferred
- React Query
- Zustand
- CI/CD
- Supabase / PostgreSQL
- Experience programmatically interacting with LLMs or other advanced AI models
- Experienced with DevTools and measuring application performance (i.e. Lighthouse)
Bonus
- Familiarity with voice controlled components and voice to text tools.
- Experience interacting with AI models from web apps.
You will work closely with a team including our head of engineering, principal engineer, product designer, and CEO to expand our customer story SaaS application. As an early team member, you will make foundational technology decisions and influence key product decisions that ultimately shape our product and company. Our codebase is relatively new, which means you will have the opportunity to build many parts of our application from scratch.

Strongly biased toward action. You are comfortable quickly balancing tradeoffs and making decisions with a mind towards risk mitigation. Enjoy owning problems end-to-end. You can coordinate multiple pieces of a project, across team members and are self-motivated to go and learn any new things needed to make a project successful.
Ideal candidates will be +/- 3 hours timezone EST, though we’re open to considering applicants outside that timezone if you’re a perfect fit and are willing to work with our primarily USA based timezone.
