The position
We are looking for an energetic Commercial Data Analyst to join our Sales Operations Team at Sympower. As a fast growing company in a dynamic market, we are in need of a data enthusiast who is eager to make an impact by combining commercial and technical skills and influence the strategic decision-making process. Your ultimate goal is to provide insights and help make data-driven decisions to to take Sympower to the next level.

As part of the Commercial Team, you will work closely with our Marketing & Sales Team (and other Teams as required) to design, build and continuously develop our KPI framework within Commercial and Sympower as a whole.

What you will do

As our Commercial Data Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of Sympower’s growth, driving key insights that help shape our commerce strategy and operations. Your work will directly influence our move to the next level as you transform raw data into powerful tools for decision-making.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

• Master the Data Landscape: Dive into our existing systems, datasets, and KPI metrics to understand the current landscape. Then, envision and chart your path forward by defining a strategic roadmap for 2025, working together with the team to achieve ambitious goals.

• Create the Future: Imagine, design, and deliver cutting-edge KPI Dashboards that are not just informative but game-changing. Your mockups will set the standard for what’s possible, and your work will evolve from initial manual dashboards to a fully automated, self-service platform to enable continuous insights in our (daily) operations.

• Own the Numbers: You’ll be the go-to expert for all commercial data and KPI reporting. From day one, you’ll take charge, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability in all our reporting processes. You’ll also be agile, adapting to new requests and updating processes as we grow.

• Collaborate to Innovate: Work hand-in-hand with teams across Sympower, expanding your influence beyond the commercial realm. Together, you’ll integrate data from various departments, building a company-wide KPI platform that drives performance across the board.

• Lead with Data: Take on an advisory role where your insights will directly inform leadership decisions. Your data-driven recommendations will help steer Sympower’s strategic direction, making you a key player in our mission to accelerate the global transition to net-zero.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree or similar level by experience

• 5+ years of working experience in a data focused role

• Proven record of handling, owning, combining and analyzing relatively complex datasets

• Experience in visualising data for various purposes/levels

• Coding experience in Python/SQL is preferred

• You are comfortable with switching between tasks and priorities and working with colleagues across the entire organization, including C-level positions

• You do not shy away from taking an advisory role towards the Leadership Team (and other departments) based on the data you work with and analyze

• Fluent in English, and other languages are nice to have
