We’re seeking a visionary Category Manager – Jobs to lead and scale this offering into a thriving business line that serves both employers and our global member base.

Role Overview

The Category Manager – Jobs will own the growth, curation, and profitability of Worksploring’s job listings platform. This is a strategic and hands-on role—equal parts business development, content curation, and category ownership. You’ll work across partnerships, marketing, and operations to expand our network of employers, increase the volume and quality of remote job listings, and create an experience that becomes the go-to resource for Worksploring members seeking flexible, global work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Ownership & Growth

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Worksploring Jobs category.
  • Set clear goals for growth, revenue, and engagement—tracking metrics like number of listings, partnerships, conversion rates, and profitability.
  • Identify emerging trends in remote work, flexible hiring, and digital nomad employment to guide strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to position Worksploring Jobs as a premium global marketplace for remote and hybrid talent.

2. Curation & Quality Control

  • Curate and maintain a high-quality, relevant set of job listings that align with Worksploring’s mission (remote, flexible, global).
  • Ensure listings are verified, up-to-date, and tailored to members’ needs across industries, roles, and destinations.
  • Use data and feedback to refine categories, filters, and featured listings for maximum engagement.
  • Develop editorial standards and work with the content team to highlight featured employers, trending roles, and success stories.

3. Partnerships & Business Development

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with job boards, remote-work platforms, HR tech companies, and global employers.
  • Build relationships with companies seeking to attract remote or globally mobile talent.
  • Create bundled or premium listing packages for partners and employers.
  • Manage contracts, pricing models, and revenue-share agreements to ensure profitability.

4. Monetization & Operations

  • Develop pricing, subscription, and promotional models that turn the Jobs category into a sustainable revenue stream.
  • Oversee analytics, reporting, and P&L performance for the category.
  • Collaborate with the finance and product teams to optimize workflows, integrations, and scalability.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities such as employer branding, sponsored posts, or curated job alerts.

5. Member Experience & Community Integration

  • Work closely with the Customer Success and Community teams to align job offerings with member profiles, destinations, and interests.
  • Develop programs that help members discover jobs suited to their lifestyle, skills, and cultural aspirations.
  • Foster partnerships between Worksploring destinations and employers offering remote-friendly roles.
  • Integrate career resources, learning content, and employer insights into the broader Worksploring ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, partnerships, or business development within tech, HR, or marketplace environments.
  • Deep understanding of the remote work economy, digital nomad culture, or global talent trends.
  • Proven ability to manage a P&L and scale a business unit to profitability.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills—comfortable building partnerships with startups and global brands alike.
  • Strong data literacy: able to analyze metrics, identify patterns, and make decisions based on insights.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a love for travel, culture, and the evolving future of work.
